We are aware that companies have entered the skip hire business as intermediaries. These intermediaries advertise as if they can hire skips to the public but then pass the business on to companies like us (without our knowledge) having added £30 or £40 to the price of your skip simply for passing on your details!
We would never knowingly work with any intermediary company, so, to ensure you get the very best price when hiring one of our skips, always book direct on 0151 933 0308.
REMEMBER: BOOK DIRECT, PAY LESS!
Skips are used for the removal of non-hazardous waste such as building debris, household items and green waste etc. If you need to dispose of hazardous waste you need special permits and containers. It is illegal for you to mix hazardous waste with non-hazardous waste.
There are two types of skips - covered and open. Open skips are the most commonly used; however, covered skips, in which the contents are protected from weather conditions, can be arranged at extra cost.
Your waste will be processed at an authorised treatment facility according to all UK and EU legislation.
If you require a detailed summary of what happens to your waste we can provide this information for a fee.
We can take items that cannot be recycled but there may be an additional charge. Please call us for more details.
To protect your consumer rights and our business, we have in place a set of terms and conditions that cover every skip hired from Barry's. To view them, click here.
You can keep a maxi (8 tonne) skip for up to 7 days and a midi (4 tonne) skip for up to 5 days. You may be able to keep a skip longer if you notify us in advance of the day your skip is due to be collected but you may incur additional cost as a result of this. Please contact us as soon as possible (telephone 0151 933 0308 or email orders@barrysskiphire.co.uk ) if you wish to keep the skip longer.
If the skip is full and ready to be collected before the scheduled pick up day, ring us on 0151 933 0308 and we will collect the skip as soon as we can. During busy periods it may take us a working day or two to actually collect your skip. Please note, we are unable to collect skips on a Saturday afternoon or Sunday.
